EU3000 – the ultimate INOVA electronic control system for real-time measurement and control
Key benefits:
EU3000 is based on state-of-the-art peripheral analog and analog/digital circuits coupled with a high performance server for real-time operations.
Our user-friendly TestControl software suite provides powerful standard features and can be further enhanced with a wide range of industry-specific extensions.
Key characteristics of EU3000:
EU3000 main components:
The user PC and RTC feature highly reliable components to ensure a smooth and trouble-free run of the server-based application over a long time. The user PC is equipped with all standard peripherals for convenient use while the RTC server employs a high-speed Ethernet connection to the I/O cards mounted in the Inova sub-racks. In addition, the RTC server supports optional communication interfaces such as EtherCat, Flexray, CAN, RS-232, RS-485, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP, allowing glossy synergy with frequency converters, PLCs, distributed peripheries or other devices.
Voluminous data flow between the Inova I/O Base sub-racks and RTC computer peripheral units is controlled by a transmission system. These components are linked via the synchroblock or CMUE module into GBE channel frames without transmission speed losses. A much lower data volume is transmitted between the RTC computer and User PC through the 1 GB Ethernet interface.
The sampling of analog inputs and outputs is fully synchronous and independent of the number of I/O elements in the control system, allowing for a maximum actual input/output sampling rate of 50 kHz.
The whole system is powered from a common power supply unit. The mains appliances (computers and peripherals) and sub-rack electronic circuits are powered through the UPS backup power supply source. After a mains power supply failure the backup power source kicks in to ensure a safe shutdown of the entire system.
The emergency stop subsystem safely stops the system after the operator presses the e-stop button or a potentially dangerous situation is detected. The subsystem and its components are designed to meet the requirements of Performance Levels c to e (PLc to PLe).

Small systems use a compact case containing a power supply, space for 8 periphery units and a simple emergency stop subsystem.
Operating and ambient conditions comply with CSN EN 60204-1, Section 4.4:
Ambient temperature +10 °C to +28 °C, or 35 °C as an option.
Inova test rigs are delivered with the TestControl software suite, a proprietary graphical user interface with advanced features for a wide range of testing applications. TestControl communicates with the RTC server computer, which is directly connected to the I/O units, offering full control over connected hardware. In addition, TestControl can display and process data received from the RTC computer and provides the operator with a wide range of powerful features, such as the ability to create user-defined control loops, define loading sequences, data acquisition, online mathematical operations over measured signals (digital filtering, linearization etc.), data postprocessing, analysis and evaluation, managing calibrations etc.
The EU3000 comes in several versions with varying cabinet sizes, maximum number of I/O units that can be connected to the system (I/O units of different types can be combined in any way), a maximal output current of 24 VDC and a maximal number of control loops.
